We know that at this time of year you are being asked for contributions by many deserving organizations that are fighting for good causes. Unfortunately, like ourselves, we all rely on a lot of modest contributions to keep us going.
When you come down to it, Resumen Latinoamericano is a grassroots media outlet edited and organized by activists with no one assigned to fundraise. And that is a problem if we are to expand our work.
Over the past year you probably noticed that we are completely focused on news and analysis coming from Latin America. We have expanded our network of contributors who are primarily working and living there so that we can bring news and analysis from those involved in the range of struggles sweeping the region.
We are committed to bringing those perspectives and translating them for a progressive North America audience that is forced to maneuver around the blatantly dishonest lies blaring from the dominant media that is tied to and financed by the neoliberal agenda.
We also want to expand our work in 2020 to include more of our popular printed versions. To do this we need to bring on others to help us translate and edit the voices in those countries countering the myth makers.
